Exudrain

Exudrain is a low-pres­sure drainage sys­tem with a medi­um capac­i­ty. Made from soft mate­r­i­al, the bel­lows allow for com­fort­able one-hand­ed oper­a­tion, even by patients! This fea­ture helps save nurs­es’ time in drain main­te­nance. 

• Ini­tial aver­age vac­u­um after acti­va­tion: 75 mmHg 
• Bel­lows capac­i­ty: 110 ml 
• Bag capac­i­ty: 700 ml 
• Bag with hydropho­bic fil­ter  
• The bel­lows have 2 valves at the inlet and out­let  
• Sup­plied as a set with a drain

• Breast surgery, e.g., mas­tec­to­my 
• Gen­er­al surgery 

Low pres­sure selec­tion 

The use of low-pres­sure drains has many advan­tages, such as: 

• Effi­cient suc­tion¹ 
• Reduced blood loss² 
• Bet­ter drainage col­lec­tion³ 
• Ear­li­er removal of drains⁴ 
• Less tis­sue aspi­ra­tion⁵ 

In cas­es where too much pres­sure is applied, tis­sues and small ves­sels may be sucked into the drains, lead­ing to exces­sive blood loss and increased patient dis­com­fort. Mediplas­t’s low-pres­sure sets pro­vide effec­tive drainage with few­er issues.⁶
