Exudrain is a low-pressure drainage system with a medium capacity. Made from soft material, the bellows allow for comfortable one-handed operation, even by patients! This feature helps save nurses’ time in drain maintenance.
- Initial average vacuum after activation: 75 mmHg
- Bellows capacity: 110 ml
- Bag capacity: 700 ml
- Bag with hydrophobic filter
- The bellows have 2 valves at the inlet and outlet
- Supplied as a set with a drain
Application:
- Breast surgery, e.g., mastectomy
- General surgery
Low pressure selection
The use of low-pressure drains has many advantages, such as:
- Efficient suction1
- Reduced blood loss2
- Better drainage collection3
- Earlier removal of drains4
- Less tissue aspiration5
In cases where too much pressure is applied, tissues and small vessels may be sucked into the drains, leading to excessive blood loss and increased patient discomfort. Mediplast’s low-pressure sets provide effective drainage with fewer issues.6
